Madbaren is our restaurant and event space with a stunning view of Lynæs Harbor. The restaurant is open year-round, and the menu is based on Mediterranean classics mixed with Nordic traditions and local ingredients. Madbaren can also be booked for events. private events - both large and small.

Madbaren FAQ
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, you are welcome to do so – both indoors and outdoors, but we have guests who are allergic to or uncomfortable around animals, so we reserve the right to ask you to move outside if your dog is not calm or other guests feel unsafe.
What is included if I have booked accommodation including dinner?
If you are staying overnight in Lynæs have booked a 'dinner package', this is the menu we call 'the whole shebang' – please note that the whole shebang changes with the season.
What gluten-free options do you offer?
Most of our small dishes can be made gluten-free, as can all our pizzas. Our pasta dishes cannot be made gluten-free. We work with flour in the kitchen and therefore cannot guarantee that the food is 100% safe for people with celiac disease.
If you have booked a dinner package during your stay, we will prepare a gluten-free version of the entire meal, using the items we have on the menu.
What vegan options do you have?
We have a selection of vegan options marked with a V. We cannot make our pasta vegan, as it contains eggs.

Do you need to book seats for children?
Yes, they take up space, and we would like to make sure we have a bar stool ready when you arrive 🙂
Brunch for overnight guests
If you are staying overnight and would like to have brunch at madbaren of a light breakfast at Strandbaren, you can use your breakfast tickets and pay an additional $100 per person. The additional $100 per person only applies if you book the "early bird brunch," which is served between 9:30 and 9:45 a.m.
We always recommend that you book a table for brunch.
