Frequently asked questions

Can I just rent a kayak even if I haven't tried it before?

If you're completely new to kayaking, don't worry – there's hope! At Lynæs Beach, there’s a huge shallow water area about a meter deep. If you fall into the water, you'll easily be able to touch the bottom. This provides great reassurance for beginners and parents of children who are trying kayaking for the first time. Lynæs Beach is known as one of the most child-friendly beaches in Denmark, which is especially beneficial for first-time paddlers.

Although conditions are good for beginners in Lynæs, we still recommend that you take a course before you get in the kayak.

Can I take the kayak somewhere else?

Yes, of course you can, as long as you bring it back 🙂 If you need to rent a lot, we have a kayak trailer that we lend out for free if you rent more than eight kayaks.

Is there anything dangerous about kayaking?

There are risks associated with being on the water, and we always recommend taking a course before heading out in a kayak on your own. That said, Lynæs is a very safe area due to its large shallow water zone, which is perfect for beginners. In addition to bringing common sense, you should always wear a life jacket when renting a kayak.
