INFO

On this page, you can find specific information about the Daycamp. If you have general questions about camps at Lynæs Surfcenter, you can check the frequently asked questions, or feel free to call or write to us here.

Where and when is the Day Camp?

We have two different Daycamps, for 8-9 year olds and for 10-13 year olds.

Our Day Camps run Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

We meet at Lynæs Surfcenter in the morning, where the instructors go through the day's program. You can see all available dates in the booking form.

The address is: Lynæs Havnevej 8, 3390 Hundested

How many participants

Our day camps have 16 boards and two permanent instructors attached to them.

Lunch?

Lunch is included in all day camps. We always eat lunch around 12:00 noon. If you are vegetarian or have allergies to certain foods, please note this in the comments field when booking.

Lunch is varied every day, and we serve everything from our famous burger to freshly made sandwiches. Our cafe is of course open if you want to buy a soda, but we strive to serve something nutritious, rather than cardamom buns and hot chocolate. 🙂

We can also accommodate allergies and special diets ! If you have an allergy or intolerance, like gluten, we’ll prepare something without it for you. If you're vegetarian or vegan, we’re happy to cater to that as well – but we need to know in advance so we can plan how much to prepare. You can write any allergies or special dietary needs in the comments when you book.

How much does the camp cost and what is included?

Our day camps cost 2,495 DKK.

Both camps include the following:

  • Four days of instruction in various water sports activities
  • Lunch every day
  • Life jacket**All participants must bring a wetsuit and bathing shoes/wet shoes, if you don't have them, they can be rented every day for 295 DKK.
Program and training

The program for each day may vary depending on the weather, but you can count on us spending plenty of time on the water! We usually have lunch at 12:00 every day, so we can't set a fixed daily schedule, but we will be out on the water every day! You can expect us to try our hand at

  • "Get to know each other" games
  • Safe travel on the water
  • Windsurfing in small groups
  • Introduction to kitesurfing
  • Kayak
  • SUP
  • Play on mega SUP
  • Creative activities – Tie Dye and fjord art

We spend as much time on the water as possible, and activities are adjusted continuously to ensure that everyone has a good and safe experience.

Is safety taken care of?

Daycamp is a new concept that allows us to invite young water lovers as young as 8 years old to participate in our activities. We take safety very seriously, and it is always our top priority when planning programs and activities. If the weather is not suitable for water activities, we will spend our time on land doing activities such as volleyball, skateboarding, or crab fishing.

We do our best to create an understanding among our participants about the risks of being on the water, and especially the younger ones require extra attention. Therefore, we ask you to read our standard registration for youth camps, as it is a requirement from our side that the young participants have a minimum level of experience with being on the water.

For the younger participants who may feel a bit hesitant about attending on their own, parents are welcome to stay nearby. All activities take place in shallow water and with a life jacket, except when we're sailing by boat.

What should I bring?

As it’s a day camp without overnight stays, you only need to bring the essentials. We recommend that all participants have a wetsuit. If you don’t have one, you can rent one when booking or upon arrival.

Remember:

  • Swimwear
  • Towel
  • Wetsuit (available for rent)
  • Wet shoes (available for rent)
  • Water bottle
  • Life jacket (if you have one)
  • Clothing according to the weather

It is mandatory to wear a life jacket during all water activities. If you don't own one, we will provide one for you.

In addition, it's always good to bring some pocket money as we have a café at the surf center.

Do I, as a parent, need to fill out anything?

Before the camp starts, parents or guardians are required to read and sign our consent form for participation in camp activities. You can view and download it here if you're not personally dropping off your child.

What is the cancellation policy?

You can reschedule up to 14 days before the camp starts; after that, it’s no longer possible to change your booking. See other terms and conditions here.
