FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Where is the sleeping area?
* Your choice is no longer available due to cleaning logistic reasons.
Is there a toilet and showers?
Yes, at our surf camp, there are both showers and restrooms located between 5 and 40 meters from the accommodations. At the other end of the garden, about 50 meters away, there are also two lovely outdoor showers and a restroom that you and the surf school’s guests are welcome to use. There are also three indoor restrooms at the Surf Center, which you can use during opening hours.
If you have booked our cabins, you have access to restrooms and showers at the harbor facilities.
How does it work with breakfast?
All stays at our surf camp always include breakfast. If you're staying in the cabins, you can purchase breakfast for 125 DKK per person.
Light breakfast consists of the essentials: sourdough roll, butter, cheese, yogurt, coffee, and juice (we accommodate the most common allergens). Breakfast is served from 8:00-11:00 am at Strandbaren. On weekends and holidays we have brunch from 09:30 at Madbaren. It costs an additional 100 DKK per person to upgrade, and we recommend that you book a table in advance here.
Please note that there is no access to kitchens in or near shacks, tents, and bungalows.
What about dinner?
We have two places where you can enjoy lunch and dinner: Strandbaren and Madbaren.
Madbaren is just 100 meters from the surf center and offers a selection of small plates, pizza, and pasta with a view of Lynæs Harbour. If the weather is nice, you can sit on our terrace and enjoy a cold drink in the evening sun. There’s also a cozy fireplace lounge for those cold winter nights.
Strandbaren is our café at Lynæs Surfcenter, where you can enjoy burgers, salads, cakes, and other delicacies for both lunch and dinner during the summer months.
Remember to check the opening hours before you arrive here. We recommend booking a table at Madbaren, but you can't book at Strandbaren - it's drop-in only 🙂
Can I bring a small child?
Yes, we are very fond of children and they are more than welcome. Extra beds are available in all our units and if you like to sleep close together, you can put a child in the middle of the double beds in our surfshacks. If you bring your own duvet and the child does not need breakfast, you do not have to pay for an extra person.
Please note that we do not offer cribs.
Can I bring my dog?
We love dogs at Lynæs, and we believe there should be room for both dogs and those who are allergic to them.
That’s why dogs are only allowed in our Supreme Tents—and, of course, only if they don’t disturb other guests by barking or otherwise.
How much does an overnight stay cost?
Prices vary depending on the season, accommodation type, and number of people. You can see prices for each accommodation type in the date selector– you get a 10% discount when you book 2 nights or more!
When is check-in? And when is the latest time to check out?
You can check in at our surf camp between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM at the front desk. If you’d like to check in later, please let us know by email or phone, and we’ll make sure it can be arranged.
If you have booked cabins, you will have access to them starting at 3:00 PM on the day of your booking. You will receive a code for the key box prior to arrival. Our cabins are self-check-in, so you can arrive as late as you like after that.
You can check out no later than 11:00 on your departure day. If the reception is not open for check-out, simply leave your key in our mailbox to the right of the reception door.
Can I rent a SUP, kayak, and windsurfing board?
Once you’ve booked a stay at our surf camp, there are 6 SUPs available for you to use freely during your stay (up to 1.5 hours per person). These cannot be reserved and must be shared with the other guests at the camp. Wetsuits and shoes can be rented at the front desk if the weather calls for it.
SUPs, kayaks, and windsurfing equipment are available for rent if you're staying in our cabins.
You can book kayaks, windsurfers and SUPs here.
Can I bring my own SUP for an overnight stay?
You are very welcome to bring your own SUP. We have a surf rack in the campsite where you can place it overnight.
Is there heat in the tents, surf shacks, and cabins?
Heating is available in the surf shacks, cabins, and bungalows. Our tents are well-stocked with warm wool blankets and are equipped with extra-warm winter duvets outside of the peak summer season.
Are there duvets, pillows and linen?
Duvets, pillows, and linens are always included in all stays at our surf camp. If you book a cabin, these are available for an additional fee. You choose the number of guests when you book your stay.
What can I do while staying at the surfcenter?
When you stay with us, you'll be in the most beautiful natural surroundings, and you can have a blast on land and water while you're here. You can enjoy both calm experiences like yoga, SUP, kayaking and beautiful hikes, as well as more action-packed activities like kite- or windsurfing.
Check out our event calendar here and jump onboard whatever you feel like. You’re always welcome to pop by the reception desk and ask about the possibilities. We absolutely love to help!
