Event space 'Nordsiden' on Lynæs Madbar
'Nordsiden' at Madbar is the perfect location for birthdays, confirmations, receptions, and relaxed weddings throughout the year. In the summer, you can enjoy the terrace with views of Lynæs Harbor, and in the winter, gather for a drink in the cozy fireplace lounge. When booking 'Nordsiden', you will need to choose one of our packages, which you can read more about here on the page.
Since the renovation of Madbaren, we’ve aimed to create a space for those special moments. Weddings, workshops, meetings, music events, and lectures have already made their way to this little corner of Lynæs Harbor.
The room includes both a dining area, where every seat offers a view of the harbor, and a lounge area where you can cozy up by the fireplace on colder days. The atmosphere is inspired by the style of Lynæs Surfcenter, featuring bright colors, stylish interiors, stunning views, and, above all, a relaxed vibe. The north side can accommodate up to 70 seated guests. It has its own entrance and exit, two toilets, a cloakroom, a private terrace, and is equipped with a TV and sound system.
Please note: It is not possible to book during weeks 26 - 33.
Slots & venue rental prices
Lynæs Madbar is a restaurant, so you pay to close down 3/2 of the restaurant just for your party. We have high season in the summer, so the price is highest here. If you want a party in an open restaurant, you can book up to 24 guests here.

Lunch/evening package
If you want a relaxed lunch or dinner where you and your guests can gather around long tables, share laughs, good stories, and tasty local food – this package is the perfect choice for celebrating everything from birthdays to confirmations.
If the weather permits, the event can start with some bubbles on the terrace with a view of Lynæs Harbor, before moving inside – still with the beautiful view of the blue waves.

Is it possible to customize the packages with different options?
Yes, you bet! You can choose from:

Of course, we will try to accommodate your wishes in the best possible way. However, all bookings must be based on one of our packages.
How many people can you accommodate?
Madbarens north side has a maximum indoor capacity of 64 people. We do not host full venue events, except on specific days during the off-season. You are always welcome to send an inquiry.
Can I get a vegetarian menu
Yes, you can easily choose the vegetarian menu. We are also happy to accommodate allergens etc.
What about children and prices?
Children are of course more than welcome! There’s a large playground right next to Madbaren that all kids and kids at heart can enjoy.
Prices for children are:
- 0-3 years: free of charge
- 4-12 years: 25% discount on per person price
Can my party last all night?
Yes, that's it. We can host your party until 02:00. There will be an additional midnight fee per pp.
Is it possible to book activities as part of our event?
Yes, Madbaren is part of the surf center family, so we’d be happy to offer both land and water activities for your event. Prices and options depend on the number of people, your preferences, and the season. Please include your activity requests in your inquiry, and we'll create a tailored package for you.
What technical facilities are there in Madbaren
Madbaren is equipped with:
- 1 x 80″ screen
(with the option to connect to PC and Mac) - Sound system in all rooms. (The sound system is designed for playing presentations and background music. If higher volume is needed for dancing, additional equipment must be rented.)
