Turboweekend at Live in Lynæs July 31, featuring Mathias Ranch as a guest!

Almost 20 years after the release of one of the most groundbreaking and influential debut singles in Danish rock music, Turboweekend sounds both more energetic and relevant than ever.

In the spring of 2025, the trio, known for hits such as 'Into You', 'After Hours', 'Trouble Is', 'On My Side', 'Miles and Miles' and many more, returned after a 10-year hiatus and instantly ignited a new musical fervor with the disco inferno 'Under Overfladen'. The resurrection was cemented in the spring when Turboweekend embarked on their first tour in more than six years. Tickets sold out in record time – and four shows turned into twelve, while a shower of stars and top reviews from Soundvenue, Politiken, Jyllands-Posten, and GAFFA were guaranteed.

There was no one like Turboweekend when they debuted in the mid-2000s. In the years before, the Danish scene had been characterized by a melancholic, introverted tone, but suddenly three colorful characters emerged with an extroverted, soulful, and rock-electric energy. And with the band's first big radio hit, 'Into You', it became clear that Turboweekend's trend-setting new rave parties in the Copenhagen underground had the potential to hit the country's biggest stages. And they did.

The critically acclaimed debut album, Night Shift (2007), was followed by Turboweekend's big breakthrough with the group's second album, Ghost of a Chance (2009). Hit singles such as After Hours, 'Something or Nothing,' and, not least, 'Trouble Is' led to prestigious awards such as "Hit of the Year" at the GAFFA Awards and "P3 Breakthrough" at P3 Gold, while Turboweekend, who toured both domestically and abroad, received a Danish Music Award for "Danish Live Act of the Year" in 2011.

Fault Lines (2012) introduced new nuances to Turboweekend's always colorful palette – and Danish listeners sent the group's third album straight to the top of the album charts. On My Side was also named "Hit of the Year" by P3 listeners.

In 2015, Turboweekend released their latest musical offering, Share My Thunder – another highly acclaimed album, which included the hugely popular hit single 'Miles and Miles', while Silas Bjerregaard & co., who over the course of 10 years had built up a reputation as one of the country's very best and most captivating live acts, also took to festival stages such as Northside, Smukfest, Wonderfestiwall, and Tinderbox.

GUEST ARTIST: MATHIAS RANCH

Come see Mathias Ranch at the Strandscenen in Lynæs Turboweekend on July 31!

Music is Mathias Ranch’s primary language. First as a member of Statisk, where he made his mark on P3 and the country’s major stages, and now as a solo artist with a distinctly personal style. A project that doesn’t seek explanations, but insists on honesty, authenticity, and artistic depth.

As a solo artist, Mathias Ranch has developed a style in which vulnerability and strength coexist. His music navigates the tension between the Danish folk song tradition, the raw energy of rock, and a modern, often electronically influenced sound. The lyrics are poetic, direct, and human. The melodies carry both darkness and light, without attempting to prioritize one at the expense of the other.

On stage, Mathias Ranch has established himself as an intense and engaging performer, most recently with a critically acclaimed concert at the SPOT Festival. His concerts aren’t polished spectacles, but spaces for shared experience, where the audience is invited to get up close to the stories and the atmosphere.
