Poul Krebs – LIVE IN LYNÆS AUGUST 7, 2026

Poul Krebs is coming to Live i Lynæs!
In 2026, Poul Krebs will celebrate his 70th birthday with a very special tour of Denmark: 70 concerts across the country – from large concert halls to the smallest venues. We are proud to announce that the tour will also be stopping by Live in Lynæs Surfcenter Lynæs. Look forward to an evening of togetherness, sing-alongs, and a back catalog that has brought audiences together for generations.

When Poul Krebs turns 70, he will not only mark the occasion with a new album and a lifetime back catalog. He will also embark on one of the most ambitious tours of his career: 70 concerts across Denmark. "2026 will be the year we travel around this big little country. From the largest concert halls to the smallest community centers out there, and also around the big festivals, which I was sure I had played for the last time. But luckily, I was wrong," he says.

The tour will be a journey through all the many forms of community that have accompanied Poul Krebs over the years. Spring is all about the band, with full energy on stage, summer brings a reunion with festivals and large sing-alongs, autumn becomes more intimate, with Poul and his anchor man Troels Skjærbæk touring the smallest corners of the country – and the year ends with special gala concerts, where friends and musical guests gather to celebrate both his birthday and his career.Music as a rallying point Community is not just something that happens on stage. It is also the driving force behind Krebs' new album Fuldtidsforhåbninger (Full-time Hopes), released in 2025. The album brings together a long list of guests from several generations, including Hanne Boel, Lucky Lo, Tina Dickow, Helgï Jónsson, Jonas Dissing, Simone Tang, Palle Hjorth, Annika Aakjær, Martin Sommer, Jacob Dinesen, and Kajsa Vala.Behind the scenes—and on stage—is the strong team of musicians who helped shape the album: Oliver Mønster, Troels Skjærbæk, Peter Dombernowsky, and Knud Møller.

And when the tour gets underway, Peter Dombernowsky and Casper Simonsen will be on drums and percussion, Troels Skjærbæk on bass, Palle Hjorth on keyboards, and Lars Skjærbæk and Andreas Käehne on guitars. Together, they form a band that Poul himself calls the strongest lineup imaginable—“the most distinctive musicians, who have all left a deep mark on my songs.”

The audience deserves the best: "I owe it to my large audience to give them the best, and I owe it to everyone involved in my new album to play the songs as well as possible! Autumn will be a journey to the smallest places on the map—right where music creates the strongest sense of community. And I sincerely believe that I can say that I am looking forward to it all equally.

"Turning 70 and being described as better than ever is one thing. Doing it by playing 70 concerts is another. And doing it while establishing yourself as one of the most unifying, relevant, and persistent voices on the Danish scene—that's something really special."It's a bit of a sensation," says Poul Krebs. "And a huge privilege that I'm still allowed to do what I dreamed of as a boy."
